This morning Papa came by early so that Mom could go see Dr.H. Neither Mom nor I slept very well last night and I got up at about 6:00. I was excited about Papa coming and that may be part of the reason. I always look forward to playing Hi-Ya with him and hide n seek too. When Mom left she told me she would be back really soon this time because it was a short visit.
Then a couple hours later when Papa and I were waiting the phone rang and it was Mom but she said she was in the hospital and wouldn't be coming back home. She expected me to get really upset but I didn't. I was actually excited especially when she said my baby sister would be coming out sooner than we though. Then, I was excited and asked Papa if he would spend the night at my house with me. He said that he would.
About time for supper Mom and Daddy come home! WHAT? She decided to come home and surprise me. I ran and gave her a hug then said, "where is baby Aniston?" Then, they laughed. Mom said she'd be out very soon.

It's a good day to stay inside Mom!
That is because it is raining outside. I woke up and realized Daddy was home today because it is Saturday. After we watched cartoons, I went into the kitchen with Mom and asked, "when is breakfast going to be ready?" Mom said, "what breakfast"? I said, you know the biscuits, gravy, eggs and bacon that you are supposed to cook." Mom and Daddy laughed and laughed but I thought they were laughing at me and got upset. Mom always cooks breakfast when Daddy is at home. But, Daddy took me out for donuts, yum!!
After my nap we went to church but before going I protested. Mom and Dad told me we go because it is a special time to thank Jesus for all that he's done for us. I simply suggested we thank him from our house! I said some other things too but I can't write them on this blog.

What I said when I woke up this morning,,,,
"Mom is anyone coming over today?" Mom says, "nope not today but we are going to swim and watch TV." Then I say, "Mom do you know what makes a horrible day- when I don't get to see Laney." Of course, this was said with the Luke dramatics turned up on high. I was really pitiful but Mom laughed.

A big ole fun day
Papa came to my house while Noni took Mom to the doctor. Guess where we went?? PlayWorld!! It sure was fun and I got to stay for a long time. When Mom asked me my favorite part of it I said, "playing knock board with Papa and the white cherry slush". When Mom and Noni came back home Papa and I were watching TV.
After my nap Mom told me we were going to Larry's Pizza Parade when Daddy got home. Then, she told me Laney, Haven, and Mrs. Diana would be joining us there. We ate some good pizza and played a bunch of games. It was soooo much fun. Laney made me a beautiful card with some hearts on it that she drew herself. She told me that she loved me and I told her I loved her too. We were like an old married couple playing games together. I love Laney.

An adventure
This morning Miss Regina came to clean our house and help Mom out. Mom had already told me that we were going to have to get up really early but it would fun and worth it. See, she said we could take Rudy to the park and to PetsMart when they opened. I had a lot of fun at the park with an old towel that mom had and the slide. It was kinda like at Toad Suck Daze when go down this huge slide on a sack. Well, since it had been raining things all the play stuff got wet so Mom got a towel out of her car. I decided to sit on the towel and go down the slide - then you could go super fast. I also took Rudy on a little walk and it was nice and cool at Briarwood Park. Then, Mom said it was time for Petsmart to open up. I got to look at lots of kitties and hamsters.
Mom and I were hungry and thirsty so we stopped by Sonic on our way home but when we went down our street Mrs. Regina was still there so Mom said we'd park somewhere to have lunch. Guess where we got to eat? At the Wal-Mart parking lot and if you ask me I'll tell you this was the best part of the whole day. So, kids ask your parents to park and eat lunch- it's a really cool adventure!

A fun Saturday
Then, we went swimming for awhile and Alex, our neighbor, came to swim with us. We had so much fun and the weather was perfect for swimming. I didn't argue too much when Mom said it was time for my nap because I knew when I woke up we'd be going to Papa's!
Papa, Daddy and I fished but didn't catch anything. I paid attention and did a great job fishing! It was fun and hot! Then, we played Hi-Ya and Papa cooked us some yummy steaks. After we ate Daddy took me for a ride on Papa's grizzly 4-wheeler. I love going to Papa and Noni's house.

Sometimes the precious things I say
make up for the naughty ones! Today, Mom and I were in the pool and I looked around and said, "Mom I need to tell you somethings". These are the somethings that I told her.
*Look at this beautiful house - we are so lucky to live here cause some kids, pets, and parents don't have homes.
* Look at our pool how nice it is even with the bird poop stains it is still fun to play with.
*Look at our dog - he's the best dog in the world and he's lucky to have us for his family.
* We have Aniston and she is getting out of your tummy real soon-- I said this really loud cause I was so excited. We are having us a baby of our very own that gets to live in this house with us cause we are a family. God blessed us with a baby sister isn't that great?
* We have all of these neighbors to talk to when we see them outside in the Summer.
* We have our church family and our church school that I love and you love it and so does Daddy.
* We have your truck Mommy and Daddy has a truck so he can go to work that is something I'm real glad for.
* We have Jesus and we get to talk to him and he is always with us.
* We get to have hamburgers for dinner tonight, isn't that great.
Mommy and I were on our rafts in the pool when this conversation took place and she told me she'd never ever forget this talk we had. I asked her why and she told me I wouldn't understand this because I wasn't old enough (well I think I am) but it told her that she and Daddy were obviously doing something right because I was thankful and could look around and feel blessed for all the things that I had. She also said that I was able to recognize we are a very fortunate family and many people don't have what we have. Most of all, I recognize that Jesus is a very important man in my life! I had to tell Mom not to cry because her eyes were all wet.
So, Daddy, when you read this.... and when you start to think that maybe Mommy isn't teaching me my letters or to read fast enough just remember she's at home with me every day teaching me the "really important" things in life. I'm only 4 but I'm one thankful little boy who recognizes his blessings no matter how simple!

Playing with Papa.......
Today, Papa came to watch me while Mom had to go back to the doctor. We played Hi-Ya and ran around the house. Then, Papa took me to the park for some real fun. When Mom got back she noticed we weren't home and figured we were eating lunch at Wendy's or at the park. She was right, we did both! I love it when Papa comes over- it is always a day about "Luke". I can talk Papa into doing just about anything.

A little baseball.
Tonight I talked Daddy into putting my ESPN baseball machine together. At first, it seemed liked a cool game of Hi-Ya, but I had a great time. Mom and Dad had fun watching me too. I began to catch the hang of hitting the ball. You take a peak for yourself.

An early Father's Day Celebration
with Papa and Noni. They came to my house this afternoon and went with us to church. After church they took us out to eat at Michaelangelo's and it was super yummy. It took a long time like usual, but I was very well behaved. I ate my pizza and my ice cream sundae. It is always fun to go there. Then, I invited them to our house. We opened presents and played. Papa, Daddy, and I played Hi-Ya in the backyard and in my room. I was upset that Mom didn't feel like coming outside to watch so I walked in the house and said, "you two are making my heart break in half and it's sad to feel." I am still dramatic and things will be changing around here when my little sister makes her appearance!

I made a new friend today..
Miss Regina. I also embarrassed my Mom pretty bad while she was here. She is coming in to help Mom around the house and maybe even with me and baby Aniston too sometimes. Mom can't do alot right now because my baby sister gets sick if she does and she needs to stay in Mom's tummy for a few more weeks. Anyway, Miss Regina loves me and she talked to me alot while she was here, I got to show her my room and Aniston's room too. She is very nice and pretty but she has a "different" voice and she calls me "Baby Luke" but it sounds nothing like that. Mom took me in the bathroom and explained to me that she is from another country far away named Mexico and that is why she doesn't sound like us. Well, she was talking to Mom and telling her she needed to go sit down when I busted in the kitchen and said "Me like to eat at Chiney Cream" in a voice kinda like hers. Mom pinched me and I got the hit that was NOT cool. So, I didn't do it again. Oh well, this will go on the list of things I've done to embarrass Mom for sure. Miss Regina gave me a big hug- she didn't care. For those of you who don't know Chiney Cream is New China restaurant. When she left she said, "maybe I see you next week Baby Luke" and I said, "YES YES YES" just like she says!

A fun morning at Papa's house
while Mom went to the dentist. We checked on the garden, fed the fish and played Hi-Ya! Mom came back to pick me up and told me that Noni had me 2 bags of yummy bread and some cookies. I rode my John Deere all over the front yard while Papa and Mom watched me from the porch. So, I ate up and then we went home for a nap before Miss Regina comes over.

Kung Fu Panda
HI-YA! That's what I've been saying all evening. Daddy and I had a special date to the movies this afternoon and I loved this movie! Mom had to run a couple errands so Daddy took me - just the two of us. It was even better than Alvin and the Chipmunks- it's playing at a theater near you so go check it out.

A present.....
another one..... for Aniston. I got to help open it though. Aniston's has been having alot of presents show up lately and I don't even know why. She lives in Mommy's tummy. But, I always love to see what she got and you know- I get alot of thing too. Today, Mrs. Diana, Laney and Haven came over and brought Aniston pacifiers and a butt wipe warmer. I was excited but not as much as Mom. We went swimming and had lunch together. Haven is walking and I've been talking about how cute she is non-stop. She's awfully little to walk but Mom said I was too when I started walking- actually I was her same size. I can't wait to see what my baby sister's face will look like.

This is what you do Mom..
you just roll it out, water it, and let nature do the rest. My latest favorite commercial. When the commercial came on Mom saw that it was for some Magic Carpet that helps you grow beautiful flowers. I love commercials!
