Birthday Party Time

Today we celebrated my 6th birthday a little early (since it is actually on Christmas)at PlayWorld. Mom tried talking me into having it all kinds of places but in the end I really wanted to have my buddies at PlayWorld. So, we did. All the boys from my class were there and my oldest girl buddy, Laney. My cousins, were there too! My fav soccer brothers got to come too! I loved playing with my friends and I was a very lucky boy- I got tons of cool gifts. My favorite was my Nintendo DS that Meme, PawPaw, Uncle Trav, Aunt Mandy, Dylan and Seth got me. I also loved all the art supplies and trucks and boy stuff. But, I have spent a lot of time with my art set from Papa and Noni. I can't wait to use my new suitcase! Mom can't believe I am 6 yrs old- man time flies.

Threats by Luke

Hi everyone this is Luke's Mom. Lately he has been quite mouthy to his dad and I. I took mental note of some of the things he has said when I've asked him to pick up, help with a small task etc.

"Well I will do it but you are making me PB&J for dinner"
"Fine, but I won't be your taterbug anymore"
"Fine, but I want you to know you have ruined my life"

And, my personal favorite- "I will not watch Spongebob anymore in your bed with you you will have to watch it alone"

Please tell me this is normal mouthy talk from an almost 6 yr old and also tell me if it is not so I can prepare for the next 15 years!

Catch Up On Me.....

I have been really bad at blogging lately but at least I have managed a photo or two here and there. I have played a few soccer games but about half have been rained out. I went to the Pumpkin Patch but it was soooo cold burrrr. Mom is constantly saying how much she wishes Summer would get here! I get in trouble ALOT for complaining to Mom on the way home from school. It seems whatever goes wrong I blame on Mom. Last week she asked me why I had my sweatshirt on when the day was fairly warm my reply; "Mom I have to wear it BECAUSE YOU haven't bought me a belt and I have loops." Apparently, she didn't understand the seriousness of having loops with no belt through them. If you get caught by Mr. Tucker you are in violation of the uniform code! Oh MY! Mrs. Coney my teacher talked to Mom because she understood that I am soooo skinny belts are hard to fine. Well we found one that very day at JCP. I am no longer in violation of unbelted loops.

Posing for photos

Being all boy I ask my Mom to get her camera out every once in awhile. But, I only want to do pics in some sort of action shot! Here are a few of me today in the backyard. Thank you Jesus that it is dry enough to play outside.

Where have I been

well I have been busy since school started! I do run for your life at school on Tues and Thurs so that means we have to get there really early. I also have soccer on Thurs and Saturday games. Life has been really hectic and my Mom was really sick then my sister got sick. I apologize for being such a bad blogger. I am loving school and it wears me out. I am in bed by or before 8:00 every nite. I have been telling mom that school messes up my time with her and Papa! She says for me to get used to it. The other day another little boy in my class got in trouble during art for going in the no kid zone. He got sent to the principal's office. It sort of bothered me especially when he ran in the bathroom and slammed the door. Mr. Tucker, our principal, had to come in and get him. I told Mom that if that was me I would not have acted angry because that gets you in more trouble. But, I did say that I would have been crying. The next day I told mom that the little boy's punishment was to scrub doors for the principal. Mom said, "aint nothing like Catholic discipline". I don't know what that means but she was laughing. I have been praying for a little girl at my school that has cancer. Her name is Sara Beth and I'd like each of you to pray for her as well. Her brother is Luke and he is also in Kindergarten. Lately, Aniston wants to do whatever I am doing and sometimes it drives me up the wall. So, we color a lot together at my table.

School Is Cool

I have settled all in to the Kindergarten thing. I am going to bed between 8-9 because I am so tired. I like recess the most but snow cone Wednesday comes in for a close second. I enjoyed Daddy having lunch with me a couple weeks ago. I crack Mom up telling about my day. Of course, there is always something that was "boring". I am reading and working hard at learning new words. I found one of Aniston's little board books and read some on each page. I love singing and teaching Aniston new songs on the way home from school. A couple days I have been starving when Mom picks me up so I bed her to take me to McDonalds or Sonic. I have the best Mom she always takes me wherever I want to go. Probably because she misses me so much. One day Papa even came with Mom to pick me up and we played in our backyard. We invited him to stay for supper and he said "yes" because it was roast!

An Update from a Kindergarten Student

I am doing so good and love school. I do get tired so I am going to bed early each night. I think my Mom misses me bunches during the day but my baby sister misses me the most. I love wearing my uniform and also like it that I get two recesses. Some days I eat the cafeteria food and somedays I bring my own lunch. I am adjusting still to being a big school boy but somedays I just want to stay at home with Mom and Anipoo. We went to a nearby playground and had a blast. Mom took some pictures so look for them on this post. We had lots of fun. Aniston is really getting to be a lot of fun to play with. The other night she kept messing in what I was trying to build. When Mom came of out the bathroom I had used her cell phone charger to tie Aniston up with. Sometimes I just need some peace!

Day 4

Luke walked in school by himself this morning. It was harder on me than the first day. As I did what any normal Mom would do (pulled up to make sure he got in his classroom) I realized how he looked so small and yet so big at the same time. He headed right to his door and went in. Although, in the car he said he didn't think he could find it. I reminded him that yesterday I made him walk ahead of me and he did find it okay. It was raining and I didn't want to get Aniston out but also, it was time he go it alone! I drove off with tears running down my face and almost had a wreck when my flip flop hung on the gas. I guess some days at the drop off line are harder than others:( This has been a big change for all of us and it is still very clear that the person who misses you the most Luke is your baby sister. I hope you are having a great day!

Day 2

Didn't go as well as day 1. I had to push you around in your room. We think this is because you are missing Aniston. I have been tearful all morning Luke. I miss you and Aniston misses you. In the evenings there just isn't much time to be a family. But, this is all part of growing up. It is obvious the person that misses you the most is your baby sister. She has walked into every room saying, "bubba bubba bubba". I am sad that you and Aniston don't have much time to play but I am so very thankful for St.Joe and the blessing of having you in a wonderful school that teaches you about Christ. We will all adjust to this even little AniPoo. God Bless you and your teachers! Hope you are having a great day taterbug!
