Happy 5th Birthday Luke and Merry Christmas

It was a very exciting two days! On Christmas Eve we went to MeMe and PawPaw's house for a celebration after Mass. The best thing was getting to see my cousins. We played the Wii and all kinds of games together. We opened presents and I got some Power Rangers, a cool TV chair that is Camo, games, movies, money, and a Kung Fu Panda set. I had a blast.

We headed home so Aniston and I could get in bed. Santa only comes when you are asleep. First, I kissed my Elf goodbye and told him I'd see him next year. I also helped Mom make Santa some cookies.
I woke up on Christmas Morning and was excited because Santa came. Noni and Papa came to watch me and Aniston open gifts. I loved everything that I got. I also loved everyone telling me Happy Birthday. Mom, Dad, and Aniston, had me one birthday present under our tree with all the Christmas presents. Each year she tells me stories of the Christmas morning when I was born. I got Lincoln Logs, Legos, bath sets, Dinosaur tent, and stuff for my stocking. I was excited with all my stuff. I played awhile and took a nap so we could go to Noni and Papa's house.
At Noni and Papa's I got a bunch more cool stuff from them, Bep Bep and Heaffer. I got Power Rangers, Transformers, Soccer Set, games, money, bath stuff, beach towel. After a yummy dinner we had my 3rd birthday cake for my 5th birthday!!!! It was exciting. I love everyone for the gifts they gave me and it was a great 5th Birthday and Christmas.

A Party at Uncle Robert's

We celebrated Christmas and Birthday's at Uncle Robert's house tonight. I enjoyed seeing everyone there. Daddy put together my toys for me and Noni bought me some Tinker Toys to play with. So, there were no kids but there was still some fun. Oh, I'm on Christmas vacation from school too.

No school because of the ice...

I got to take a short break from school yesterday and today because of the ice. I thought it sounded like a good idea but I was bored after a couple hours. I did enjoy having more time with Aniston though.

The question I ask all the time

"Mom, can I hold AniPoo"? Mom thought the newness of having a little sister would wear off but it didn't. I still ask to kiss her first thing each morning and each night before bed. Mom hopes I love her this much a year from now.

A totally selfish post by your Mom

Luke, a week ago we were getting ready for your 5th birthday party. Each day I think back to what I was doing 5 years ago. It is unbelievable to me that that much time has passed. After I picked you up from school today I noticed several times that you didn't need me like you used to. Just the circle of life I suppose but it made me really really sad. I came to help when I heard you in the hall closet getting the kleenex down- but you said, "no I got it Mom". Then I tried to help you fix your sandwich and you said, "no I got it Mom". Maybe you could just play along that you need me more?? Of course when I'm busy with Aniston you always seem to need me then and I feel guilty that I can't help. Last night you ate a hamburger bun for dinner because I couldn't free up my hands. This morning there was no food in the house and you had my last Diet Dr.Pepper and fruit snacks for breakfast. Actually, you thought I was a pretty cool Mom for that! I have the same sad feelings as I did 4 years ago as your birthday approaches. I cried pretty much the whole day of your 1st birthday. I'm happy that you are so happy to get big but just wish it could've lasted a little longer. I dread the big K next year because you have no idea how much I'll miss you. One day you will make fun of me for this post and then again one day you will realize how much you mean to me. I realize how much my life is now defined by being a Mom- and that's okay! Oh, I can tell your 5th birthday will be a tough one. I'll turn around again and you'll be driving.

Wee Willie Wonka, Papa Rino, and Pooper Girl

to the rescue. This is just another adventure I've recently made up. I'm Wee Willie Wonka- Papa is Papa Rino- Aniston is Pooper Girl. I made this up all on my own. We ride through towns rescuing people. What an imagination.

My 5th Birthday Party

I had a blast with my cousins and friends. To all of you who came that read my blog- thank you so much for taking your Saturday morning to party with me (thanks to your parents for driving you there.) I got tons of gifts too! Birthdays are lots of fun.

My conversation with Mom!

I got into a lot of trouble today. Tonight, Mom had just about reached the end of her rope with me. She asked me, "Luke what will it take to get you to mind me?" I relied, " a machine". We both ended up laughing but I could tell that she was upset with me.

Our Christmas Tree

Mom and I worked on our tree and I'm thrilled. I love looking at all the ornaments and pestering Mom by asking a million times where we got each one. This is a great time of year.

A vacation from school

It's kinda neat to be off of school but also kind of boring. Mom is tied up with Aniston all day and I can't go outside too much because it is cold. I think I'm ready to go back to school.

Guess who showed up last night???

Michael the elf. Remember him? He came last year on Thanksgiving night and left on Christmas Eve. Mom promised he'd be back this year and he was. When I woke up this morning (very early) I ran to find him. He watches my every move to report back to the North Pole each night. Then, he's back in my house by the time I wake up. It's pure magic and I love him. I tried to explain him to Aniston but she just doesn't quite understand.

Happy Thanksgiving

from me and Ani Poo! We woke up this morning and got dressed so that we could head to Noni and Papa's for Thanksgiving. Aniston and I played in the living room while Noni and Mom got Dinner finished. Noni did a great job cooking our dressing and all the trimmings. Papa is a master at deep frying a turkey. I love Thanksgiving.

She's hot.

Tonight Mom and Dad were watching Dancing with the Stars. As Brooke Burke was dancing I said to Daddy, "she's hot". He asked me to repeat it again and I said, "she's hot." He and Mom were laughing at me and I got a little upset. Dad asked me if there were any 'hot' girls in my class and I replied loudly, "NO"!

Picture day

Here's me and Ani on our way to have our pictures taken for Christmas. We were so good and were home in just over 30 min. Mom was so proud of us. I love Aniston's dress and I actually liked my outfit too.

A conversation between Mom and My Teacher

Mrs. Lisa talked to Mom today, but not cause I was in trouble. We've got a problem at my school. Two girls keep trying to kiss me. When one of them did so today I got upset and Mrs. Lisa noticed I was pushing her away. I got upset because I thought that I was in trouble for pushing. Please keep the girls off of me Mrs. Lisa- I am already marrying Laney geesh.

What I sing to Aniston

"I love you little Poo Poo Girl". Actually, it doesn't matter what I sing she loves it- she just loves me. In the mornings, when Mom drops me off at school, she always looks really sad. But, when Mom picks me up and I get in the backseat she looks all happy. Little sisters are great. I keep telling Mom that I want another baby sister but she says that can't happen. Hum....

"A Rock O Lama"

That's the name of our new President- in case ya didn't know.

Update...

the stomach virus has attacked our household. First, it got Mom, then the rest of us. Mom was right afterall- you can't escape these nasty bugs.

A birthday party....

Today, Mom took me and Aniston to my friend Kayden's birthday party. I had a blast. Aniston was a good girl so we got to stay for a really long time too. Kayden is one of 4 boys in my class at school. He was also in my class last year. While we were there he had to go inside and lay down because his tummy hurt. Then, his Mom told my Mom that he'd come down with the tummy virus. I don't understand all that but Mom said it means we are going to get sick. I'll keep you updated on that.

A video of me getting mad

Tonight, Daddy was getting ready to give me my medicine and I wanted to open the bottle by myself. He decided to let me and this is what happened. Turn your volume up so you can hear me. It was a good laugh for Daddy and Mom but not for me - I was very mad.

My last soccer game was today

I had another good game. Once again, I scored the most goals! Everyone went out for pizza after the game and we each got a trophy. It was a special time and I'm going to miss seeing all my new friends. I told mom what I'd miss the most was "everyone cheering for me"! I think I'm a great soccer player if you can't tell. Uncle Heaffer and Papa were at my game so I was glad to score a goal for each of them. It was a great season and I can't wait till Spring.

Happy Halloween

Tonight, I decided that I wanted to go to our neighbor's church for a Halloween Carnival instead of trick or treating. Mom and Dad were both surprised by this. However, I still went around our neighborhood once I got back home. We have tons of candy so if you'd like some come on over. I dressed up as a Red Power Ranger and my little sister was Tinkerbell. It was a blast! I wish Halloween came more often.

I'm 58 months old!

Today I asked Mom how old Aniston was and she said almost 4 months. So, I asked her how many months I was and she said, "actually you are 58 months old today." Man, I'm getting old. The best things about being my age are: soccer, pizza, school, Aniston, and Power Rangers. I also love Jump Zone, GoKarts, PlayWorld and ice cream.

Soccer

This morning I had my soccer game. According to Mom and my coach I am a "machine" whatever that means. I scored 5 goals and was unstop able. I love it when everyone is cheering for me. Noni and Mom missed one of my goals because they were taking care of Aniston. Daddy was so proud of me that he said I could get a toy. My coach suggested that I get a special lunch but a toy sounded better. Noni gave me money as usual so we headed for Target. I got a remote control dump truck and I love it. I've been looking for stuff to pull around in it- this is what Mom caught me hauling. I love my little sister and her stuff too!

A babysitter!

Mom told me this morning that Aniston and I were having babysitters watch us so she and Daddy could go out to Dinner without us. This is not something that I am used to. Then, she told me Noni and Papa were my babysitters. I was a little confused and said, "they are not babysitters they are Noni and Papa. Mom worked hard to get everything ready for us while we were taking our naps. But, I woke up screaming for her because my ear hurt. She was worried since it was 3:00 on Friday but we were able to go to the doctor and get me some antibiotic. Mommy and Daddy still got to go on their date and Ani and I still got to have babysitters!

Picnic in the Park

When Mom picked me up from school today I asked my usual question, "Are we going anywhere?" She answered that we were going on a picnic with Laney and Haven. I was excited about that but then she said after the picnic we were going to get my flu shot. Actually, the first place we went was to get Mom's flu shot. She was a big girl and didn't even cry. We had a blast at the park but it was pretty hot outside. I love playing with Laney and Haven. I never want to eat my lunch because I'd rather play. Mom didn't get any good pictures because I was on the move. Aniston was a good girl for a change too!

The pumpkin patch

Today, Mom went with me and my school to the Pumpkin Patch. This year Moms weren't able to ride the big St.Joe bus because there was not enough room. I enjoyed being with my friend for the ride though. We thought we might get rained out but we didn't. I had the most fun playing with Kaden and Tristan. We went through the tunnels and looked at the animals after a fun ride on the tractor to pick out the perfect pumpkin. I love the pumpkin patch.

Mom....

I need to borrow your credit card. This is what I said to Mom on the way home from school. She thought she had a few years before this stuff started but I showed her.

When Mrs. Lisa brought me to the car she told Mom that I said I'd had a great weekend swimming in the Red River with my Daddy. Mrs. Lisa asked me if the water was red but I said no- just cold. When Mom asked me about this I insisted that Daddy and I were there. Mom said it was in my imagination.
Just about every day when we are leaving for school I beg Mom to take a picture of Aniston and I. Here is the one from today.

Lunch with Laney

Today when Mom picked me up at school I asked her if we were going anywhere. She said we were going to Laney's and taking pizza. Laney and I were happy to see each other and we exchanged hugs and a little kiss. Mom was a little surprised and she was happy too. Laney even told me that she would marry me after she gets married to her Daddy. I thought about it later and told Mom that I would marry Laney after I married her. Mommy was happy I wanted to marry her ya know!

Me and my little sister

Tuesday, September 30, 2008

I had to miss school today.....

because of my asthma and I cried and cried. I was really upset about it too. I love going to school and I even asked my Mom is I could go all day like some of the other kids. She was a little surprised and the more questions she asked me about it the more she realized that what I really wanted was to have lunch in the cafeteria! I bet I take going to Kindergarten next year better than my Mom does.

A special visitor

came today. It was Mom's best friend Natalie. She brought her new baby girl over to meet Aniston. Also, Natalie's mom, Miss Louise came too. I had fun with them. I've not got to spend as much time with Natalie as my Mom would like since she lives so far away. I helped her with her baby, Gabriella, just like I help Mom. I even informed her when Gabriella pooped in her diaper. Natalie thought it was great that I'm such a little Mommy! I bet Aniston and Gabriella get into trouble together when they get older.

I love being a big brother

and helping my little sister. One of my favorite things to do is help feed her. I am always willing to give her a bottle. This morning Mom was running a little behind so I offered to feed Aniston. Even though Mom was running late she just had to stop and take a quick picture of us. She says this will always be one of her favorite pictures of me and our Annie Poo.

****Star Student****

I was Star Student today at school. It is a huge deal because it means my teacher caught me being nice such as helping another kid or cleaning up when no one else would. She has to catch you a whole bunch of times. Each time the teacher catches you showing an act of kindness she puts a star on your chart and when it is all filled with stars you are the Star Student. Daddy was off work today so he took me to school and picked me up and that was exciting too. Mom wanted to take my picture but I wanted Aniston in my picture with me. I'm a great big brother too! You can tell that I'm excited by the smile on my face.

Soccer Game #2

A Quick trip to the fair

Tonight Noni and Papa came to watch Aniston while Mom and Dad took me to the fair. We didn't stay very long because Mom was worried about Aniston and things were very expensive. I had a great time and didn't even complain when it was time to go home. I loved the big slide and holding a bunny! Oh, the corn dog and lemonade were delicious!

A day in the Park....

is just what we needed. Mom, Aniston, and I went to the park today to meet Mrs. Diana and the girls for a picnic and some fresh air. It has been a little wild around our house with my baby sister. She has been having some pretty bad tummy troubles and we are all a little stressed from it. I had a blast with Laney swinging, climbing on the pole, and chasing each other. Tonight, I had soccer practice but I was most concerned with all the bugs that kept trying to bite me. A couple of times I ran over to Mom and said I had the "itchies".

My first soccer game

went great. I scored 3 goals! Noni and Papa came to watch my game and everyone had fun. We are the Sharks and we played a team named Tigers. We are all still figuring out what to do and what is going on ,but the point is to have fun- and I sure had plenty of that. I asked Mom if she was proud of me and she said yes, everyone was proud of me. Mom said she was most proud of what a good sport I was. I shared the ball and even when the other team made a goal I said "good job" to them. Daddy was proud of me too. Each time I made a goal I had a shy grin on my face. I can't wait for the next game.

Soccer Practice!

Tonight I had my first soccer practice. The name of my Coach is Coach Spencer. He has a little boy named Ashton and I knew him from Mighty Mikes this past Spring. I wasn't as "into the game" as I was this Spring but I will be in no time. Every time I jump around the house and I get in trouble I say, "but coach said to practice". Mom thinks it is cute. Here are a couple pictures from my practice. One day I'll get Mom for the second one. Oh, I was really happy Aniston went to watch me too.
