You will be in Kindergarten my how the time has flown by. I have been thinking a lot about how quickly you've grown and while I can't stand it there is nothing I can do about it except remember the days that I've enjoyed so much. I thought I would record a few things so that you can read this later on and say, "I did that?"
You came into the world on a cold Christmas Morning a little over a month early. You were the cutest little guy ever and I was disappointed that you were bald and maybe just a teeny disappointed that you had boy parts- but only for one minute because I was in love with you. You and I hung out at our house on Rupert for 3 months then I went back to work for 5 months before we moved into a bigger house, Dad got a new job, and I retired on my 30th birthday to become a stay at home Mom. We hung out some with your Aunt and cousins and it was a challenge with 3 boys that were all under 5!
Winter came and we snuggled and stayed in our Pj's all day. Great memories that I cherish with you. You tottled around the house after your 1st birthday and began talking. We watched TV and took naps in the afternoon. We enjoyed a wonderful Summer swimming and you had the blondest hair and prettiest blue eyes ever. I loved taking you out and about because you always looked so cute. Your cousins introduced you to playworld and chic fil a.
Winter came and you loved riding the grizzly with papa. Papa and you developed a very special relationship. You discovered time out or actually the "nosey corner" for talking back..... obviously nosey corners do not work on you cause you still talk back. We enjoyed another fun filled Summer of Sun and then it was off to Woodland Height Preschool for 2 year olds. You had some issues separating from me and I had more issues separating from you. We managed to get you through graduation and you made some friends that you still have even though they are girls! You mastered some social skills and better yet recess!
We enjoyed another great Summer and you and I stayed up late at night and slept late in the morning. We'd pick up the house and headed outside to the pool. We also played games and read stories. I usually let you sleep in the bed with me making for a very spoiled little boy- hey I knew the time would fly and so what right? We got ready for school at St.Joe 3 yr old preschool. Much to our surprise you cried every day for the first month- you hated it. You embarassed me at the drop off line and I threatened to bust your butt and you finally stopped with the dramatics.
That school year flew by and you were thrilled at the news of becomming a big brother. You wanted a sister from day one and you got one. You finished 3 yr old preschool and you and I enjoyed a month of very special fun times before she arrived. I could not be more proud of the big brother you are to her and she adores you. So as our special days come to a close I am enjoying watching the interaction between you and your baby sister. I guess I haven't done too bad of a job with you Luke cause you are a great kid! Minus the hemangioma, tubes in your ears and missing adenoids you have been a healthy little boy. You have been a good lil athlete too playing soccer and Tball. We are so very blessed and lucky to have you. You make me laugh every single day. I wish we had 5 more years to hang out at the house together but the time has come for you to head out to get educated. I've loved every day of getting to see you grown and being the one to make your breakfast and lunch. I thank God for the opportunity I have had to be at home with you. Thanks also to Daddy for working hard to give us this time together.
But, what I have loved most is watching you and your sister this Summer. So, one day when you read this and appreciate it you tell Daddy that when he thought Mom wasn't doing anything but laundry, surfing the net, and sending texts she was actually doing a few things that counted!

A call from Aunt Mandy
and I guessed right off that she wanted to come get me to spend the night at her house. I was dragging the suitcase out of the closet before Mom got off of the phone with her. It was another great couple days with my cousins. Mom said I couldn't go anywhere else because her and Daddy want to spend time with me before school starts. Mom, Dad, and Aniston picked me up at MeMe and PawPaw's house so we could all swim and have a cookout. Noni and Papa came too. I was so tired I slept on the way home and went right to bed after my bath. All this traveling is hard work.

A call to Papa....
this morning when I woke up I asked Mom if I could call Papa and go spend the night with him. Mom said I could but she wasn't real happy because I've been gone so much. He said sure that he would meet Mom at 1:00 at our meeting spot. So until then I asked every few minutes if it was time. We had a boys night since Noni was out of town at a meeting. I love going to their house!

A weekend with my cousins!
Mom, Aniston, and I went to pick up my cousins yesterday. This time they got to spend 2 nights we had a blast. Last night we went to the bazaar and to see G Force. We loved the movie and had fun at the Bazaar because Dylan won a Mountain Dew and a Goldfish. Mom made us yummy pigs in blankets last night and a huge breakfast this morning. Earlier we went to see Aliens in the Attic and to the Home Depot workshop. They have to go home tomorrow and Aniston and I will be sad. I love that I've gotten to spend lots of time with my cousins this Summer.

Luke... It's your Mommy
Tonight you and had the greatest conversation and I wanted to record every word because it was so special. Everything was quiet in the house and you and I were watching TV in my bed as I cleaned out my jewelry box. You were giving my your opinions on stuff and you seem to be the pack rat not wanting me to throw anything out. You get that from Noni.
There was a bracelet in a little satin bag that you asked me about. You reminded me that once before I told you I had a story about it when you got older. And, you reminded me that 5 1/2 years old is "older". So, I told you that the bracelet was pink and blue and had 2 special charms on it to represent 2 babies that are in heaven because they are angels. You asked me why they went there. I asked you if you remembered the special oranament on our tree. You said yes that I'd bought it for our baby but that baby went to be with Jesus before that Christmas. I was shocked at how well you remembered and even said that baby would always have an ornament on our tree. We talked about people going to heaven and that God is always in control. You said you wished we could have those 2 babies in our house and I told you I did too, but we would see them in heaven and one day we will hold them.
Luke, you were so sweet and had a sad little look on your face but you understood how special the bracelet was. You are getting so big and have such a kind heart. You asked if they were sick and when I told you one was and then you asked if I prayed for God to heal that baby. I told you that I did at first then I prayed for God to give me the strength to accept his will. You said, "God needed the sick baby in heaven"? I said yes he did and one day when I go to heaven I will have 4 kids just like I wanted. You were concerned about being the oldest! It is hard to explain things but somehow you just understood! I love you Luke.

Where am I?
At Papa's house again. This week I am staying 2 nights and I am playing a lot with 2 other little boys. We are playing in dirt, swimming, fishing, and doing boy things. I am having a blast. Papa picked me up yesterday and tomorrow Mom is coming to get me. I've had so much fun this Summer staying somewhere every week but Mom and Dad miss me. Aniston misses me the most! Yesterday before Papa picked me up Mom and I went to buy school supplies. That was so much fun but I got in trouble for throwing stuff in the buggie that wasnt on the list. I'm pretty excited about this Kindergarten stuff.

I am at Aunt Mandy's
Today Aunt Mandy and MeMe watched me and Aniston while Mom went to a funeral. I also went home with her and my cousins after swimming. I am staying 3 nights. Mom is working to get everything perfect for Aniston's first birthday party this week. So, my cousins wanted me to stay with them. Who do you think will miss me the most? Mom said it will be Aniston.

My Cousins are here at my house
Today Mom, Aniston, and I went to Menifee to meet Aunt Mandy and MeMe to pick up Dylan and Seth. We have all been excited about them spending the night. I love having them over and so do Mom and Dad. Tonight we went to see Transformers and we all thought it was the coolest movie ever. I will be sad when they have to go home.

What Have I Been Up to You Ask???
Well, I am enjoying my Summer. I haven't spent an entire night at home since summer break started. I stay a couple nights one week with my cousins then with my Papa the next week. I am tying my own shoes and reading 3-4 letter words. Daddy and I work on those things every night that I am at home. I enjoying swimming with Mom and Aniston in the backyard and at MeMe and PawPaw's pool. I think my Mommy is getting a little sad that Summer is half over- ewwww lets not think of that right now. Later I got to go play with AniPoo.

Heads or Chairs???
I insist that when you flip a coin it is heads or chairs that you call. Mom and Dad worked very hard to convince me that it is heads or tails represented on the coins. It took forever for me to concede and admit that maybe they were right. Doesn't my way sound more interesting?

T-Ball is over for now....
And, I am already missing it. I always need other boys to play with you know. Now it will be boring on Saturdays. However, Mommy said she was looking forward to NOT having to go somewhere every Saturday. First there was soccer then baseball overlapped it. Now- well, there is nothing going on. I was upset when Mom washed and packed away my uniform. We had a pizza party after our game where we got trophies and it was a lot of fun. My whole team improved a lot from the first game. My Mom is already saying she can't wait for next season I just wished she'd make up her mind.

Swimming in the backyard.
First it was too cold in the pool, now it is almost to warm outside. At least the water doesn't turn my fingers and lips blue anymore. Aniston actually likes the little pool best. So, Aniston and Mommy stay in it most of the time while I'm in the big pool. I am such a good swimmer that Mom just keeps her eye on me!

Keeping an eye on Aniston
is getting harder and harder these days. I get so excited when she walks to me- I also get really upset when she doesn't. Mom tells me that sometimes she is just lazy and wants to crawl. Over the last couple days I've said some funny things about her.
1. "Mom she is really a lot of trouble could we just put her in the trash can till after dinner please?"
2. "Awwww heck naw girl get outta that cabinet"
3. "Aniston you are about to make a bad choice I'd rethink that if I were you."
4. "Don't even think about taking that Ani Poo"
5. "Mom, I just can't take it anymore I mean I love her but she is tearing up everything in this house." Mom starts laughing then I say, "Mom I mean it it isn't funny, I am gonna have a nervous breakup if she doesn't stop."
I love this little girl so much but she is way more trouble than I was as a baby. If you ask my Mom why she will say "cause Luke was fat and lazy and didn't move alot."
While riding to the store I told Mom that I never wanted Aniston to grow up and I wanted her a baby forever. Mom and I were both sad thinking of her birthday coming up. I even told Mom that God blessed us all and having Aniston was the best gift our family could ever get. I think it made Mom cry a little you know. Then I reminded Mom that our special angel babies in heaven will always stay babies FOREVER and when we get there we can hold and play with them FOREVER. I asked Mom how it was that we love our angel babies but we didn't ever see them. She explained that it was like our love for Jesus and that made total sense to me. I am growing up ya know.
